When the High Ones landed on Abode, and they were attacked by humans, Leyr was one of the first to escape, bringing his pregnant lifemate and his ex-lovemate with him. He landed on the shores of the First Lake and decided that could be a good shelter. Leyr was very protective of his family and not so glad of approaching too much to cats, but he had to accept it because of humans' treath. He had long wavy golden hair, deep blue eyes, and looked a bit like Skimback the WaveDancer. SRELOTH: female High One. She was Leyr's lovemate before he Recognized her sister Alyah. When the Palace landed, she Recognized another unnamed High One, but kept secret about her pregnancy and followed Leyr and Alyah in their flight from humans. When they arrived on the First Lake, she was the first who understood felines could teach them how to survive in that alien world. She was also the first who approached them and led Alyah and Leyr toward safety. Sreloth looked like Brill, with long brown hair, heartshaped face, and deep green eyes. ALYAH: female High One. Sister of Sreloth, she Recognized and lifemated Leyr and became the mother of Reheen. Alyah was kind, generous, and shy: she rarely spoke, but she cared a lot for her lifemate and sister. When they were attacked by humans, Alyah was wounded, and she'd have been long-dead if not for Leyr. Landing on the First Lake, she was totally afraid of cats and did not want to raise her son among them, but her sister soon persuased her it was the only way to escape humans. Alyah had thin, wavy red hair, and golden eyes. REHEEN: male Firstborn. He was the son of Alyah and Leyr. Reheen was born short after the couple's arrival at the First Lake, and was raised among cats even if his mother disliked the idea. He lifemated Sabia, and fathered a lot of elfin children. He had amber eyes and sandy blond hair. SABIA: female Fistborn. Daughter of Salorth and an unnamed High One male. Raised among cats, she lifemated Reheen and mothered a lot of children. She had black hair and eyes. SHADOWSLY: male. He was the grandson of Reheen and the first true chief of the CatRiders, the first who truely bonded with a cat. Shadowsly was told to be very proud and arrogant, too much at times. He never listened nobody and was stubborn. In his life, he fathered a daughter, Silverfang, whom he cared a lot for. Shadowsly died as the bold elf he was: he tried to sneak into the dragons' territory, and was killed by them. He had long black hair and red eyes. SILVERFANG: female. Daughter of Shadowsly. This woman held the leadership, after her father's death, for over 400 years, always managing to win the tribe's challenges. She was strong, stubborn and femminist: the CatRiders agree she was the most heartless chieftess who led their folk. In her life, she Recognized once and mothered a son Littlebug, but never cared about him or his father, not even when the youth was killed by a swordfoot. Years later, she was slained by a younger elf, Scarface, in a challenge. She managed to stab him in her dying breath, even if she did not harm him as deeply as she'd have wanted to. Silverfang had blond hair with long curls, slanted silver-blue eyes, and a squared face. SCARFACE: male. Called "Scar" Recognized of Soulless and father of Timefall. He became chief after killing Silverfang when he was very young, and ever since he was remembered as a tyrant. The most unpopular chief of his folk, he was too much cruel and crazy even for the CatRiders. He did not lead them for long time thought: thirty years later, he was challenged by a young rebel, Soulless. During the fight, the two of them Recognized: short later, they fought again for the challenge, and Scarf lost. Ever since, he was exiled. He had silver hair and green eyes. SOULLESS: female. Soulless was a young rebel who fought against the "tyrant" Scarface. During one of these battles, she found herself face-to-face with him and they Recognized. Soulless had no choice but answer the Recognition'scall: but after this, she openly challenged him, and won. However she showed a bit of mercy toward her Recognized: she did not kill but exiled him from the tribe, and ever since she raised her son, Timefall, by herself. Years later, she left the leadership because she was no more interested in ruling while her son could: but when she saw Timefall being murdered by Blacktooth, she killed the elf before he could earn the chieftain's role. Then, she left the tribe, don't anymore caring about them. According to a very popular legend, she found Scarf again, and they shared their grief for their son's loss. Finally, they fell in love and gave birth to a brand new tribe of travelling warrior elves, named "ShadowRiders" or "The Black Ones". There's no proof these elves really exist, thought. Nobody never found them. To be honest, nobody even searched for them... yet. Soulless was taller than her packmates, thin, with long straight auburn hair and ice blue eyes. TIMEFALL: male. Son of Soulless, the rebel and Scarf, grandfather of Swordligh. He was raised by his mother, new chieftess of the CatRiders, and never knew his father, who had been exiled short after Recognition. Timefall was a very gentle youth: he was peaceful, kind, and he had a lot of lovemates and cubs. However he never had much a chance to see them all growing up, because he was challenged a few season after earning the leadership. Blacktooth, a much older elf, claimed they did not need a braveless chieftain, and killed him. But before he could earn the chief's lock and role, he was killed himself by Soulless, mad of grief and determined to avenge her son's death. Timefall had short brown hair, shy blue eyes, and was very thin. MARAUDER: male. He was chief in second during Soulless's leadership, and very faithful to her. Later, when she passed the chief lock to her son, Marauder remained as a loyal advisor of Timefall. when the young elf was killed, and Soulless abandoned the tribe, Marauder effectively ruled the CatRiders, yet he did not think about becoming a chief and he was looking for another elf who would have been a better leader than he was. Eventually, he found the right elf. His name was Swordlight, he was orphan, but his mother had been one of Timefall's daughters. The youth had all requirements for becoming a great chief, so Marauder began training him. He never had a chance to see him leading his folk thought: he was killed by humans before he could end his task. Marauder had copper blond-brown hair and icey blue eyes. SWORDLIGHT: male. He had been orphaned as a child, but his mother was a daughter of Timefall's. When he was a youth, Swordlight was choosen by Marauder as future chief of the CatRiders, and ever since he was trained by the old advisor himself. Then, one day, Marauder was killed by humans under Swordlight's eyes, and the young elf had to organize his folk's defense. Ever since, he remained as a chief, and despite he was cold and tough as every CatRider, he's remembered for being smart and a just leader, who was not blood-thirsty. Later in his life, he found a wandering elfess, who named herself LizzardTail, and they Recognized. Swordlight was very fond of this lovely lifemate of his. He knew she had special powers, but he did not understand them: and, yet, he did not care. All he wanted was defending her and his family, but this last field turned out being a failure. In fact, his two daughters, Rainlight and Snowcry were not as he wished them to be. At his eyes, they did not deserve leadership, and this only made him getting more and more sad. At end, he was elder than his years showed: he knew he would have not been able to win another challenge, and he couldn't bear such an humiliation. He hadn't to, however, because he was killed by a boar he was hunting (nobody knows if he did it on purpose, or accidentally). He asked his lifemate to take over the leadership after him, but LizzardTail had no wish to rule after his death, and she never obeyed to this last wish of his own. ![]() MAYS: male High One.
